Join us and Maya from Illusory Time for this Halloween themed wagon ride through the orchard!
It is often said the veil between the living and dead grows thin and that spirits freely roam the earth one day each year: Halloween. How did these ancient pagan beliefs develop into modern customs of trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, and wearing costumes? On this wagon ride through Halloween history, we’ll explore the origins of this spooky holiday and the various traditions that weave together into our present-day celebrations.
Maya Rook is a cultural historian, college educator, and yoga instructor who loves to share popular and obscure historical topics, as well as meditative and magical practices, through her business Illusory Time. Participants have described Maya’s approach as welcoming, vibrant, creative, playful, humorous, delightful, informative, and fun. You will walk away with new knowledge, a deeper connection to yourself and others, and some fresh magic in how you view the world around you.
Please note: Unfortunately you will not be able to take your hard cider on the wagon ride with you. Please consider arriving early to enjoy your drink in our tasting room prior to your ride. Thank you!
