CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS

**OPEN POSITIONS**

– Assistant Farm Manager (full time): Responsible for performing all functions relating to the effective operations of the farm and cider process by performing the following duties.

  • Function as role model to staff and customers
  • Follow directions and lead of the farm supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Inspect orchards and fields to determine crop maturity, condition and disease or insect infestation.
  • Helping in crop production operations, such as planning, tilling, planting, fertilizing, cultivating, trimming and harvesting.
  • Monitor activities, such as irrigation, harvesting, or grading, to ensure adherence to safety regulations or standards.
  • Inspect farm equipment to ensure proper functioning before use
  • Follow working techniques, practices, or safety regulations according to NYS
  • Troubleshoot equipment and processes.
  • Help in the cider making process including setup, production and cleaning,
  • Able to operate a tow motor.

Page range: $21.00-$24.00                                   Benefits: Paid vacation, 401K program

– Fryer: Responsible for assisting the production of fried cakes and baking of baked goods by performing the following duties.

  • Weekend availability
  • Set up bakery for fried cake production 
  • Fry and work at a quick pace
  • Part time
  • No fall sports
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Perform light maintenance duties (such as sweeping, mopping, taking out garbage, etc.)

Page range: $19.00-$21.00

– Assistant Event Coordinator (part-time): Responsible for supporting the Event Coordinator in organizing, running, and creating events which provide a great customer experience and grow Schutt’s Apple Mill’s presence in the community.

  • Collaborating with the Event Coordinator on social media posting
  • Creating detailed plans of events including preparing, organizing, staffing, and executing
  • Catering towards and working with a wide variety of ages to provide an energetic and positive experience
  • Able to work weekends and nights

Page range: $19.00-$20.00

– Apples: Sorting and stocking apples while providing excellent customer service. Possibility to cross train in other departments (ice cream, cider, and more).

  • Weekend availability
  • Part time
  • No fall sports
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Perform light maintenance duties (such as sweeping, mopping, taking out garbage, etc.)

– Apples – Daytime: Sorting and stocking apples while providing excellent customer service. Possibility to cross train in other departments (wagon driver, ice cream, cider, and more)

  • Weekday and weekend availability
  • Part time – Full time
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Perform light maintenance duties (such as sweeping, mopping, taking out garbage, etc.)

– Front Counter: Accurately and quickly cash out customers while providing excellent customer service. Possibility to cross train in other departments (ice cream, wagon driver, cider, and more)
