FRONT COUNTER SUPERVISOR:

Responsible for performing and/or supervising all functions related to the front counter through excellent customer service, managing of front counter staff, and balancing of registers.

Shift: Varies based on the season. Weekends required.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a role model to staff by performing all store functions as necessary, demonstrating good work habits, encouraging clean and safe work habits, and promoting positive attitudes toward customers and employees.
  • Instruct front counter staff regarding job responsibilities on an ongoing basis.
  • Handle and resolve conflict among front counter staff.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training for the front counter.
  • Maintain store standards in accordance with corporate policy.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction and minimize customer complaints, through effective customer service in accordance with store policy.
  • Always provide sufficient staffing for front counter, including creating the work schedule and managing changes including cancellations.
  • Perform opening and closing duties daily, such as locking/unlocking store and turning on/off lights and ensuring cash drawers are reconciled and set-up accurately.
  • Receive incoming telephone calls, take accurate messages, and direct telephone calls to the appropriate person.
  • Answer emails in a timely manner, with correct information, and with good customer service.
  • Work alongside other supervisors to create cohesive customer experience, team-minded staff, and business success.
  • Become proficient in other store departments including bakery and apples
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Training: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience: Prior retail management experience helpful.

Certificates and Licenses: Valid NYS Driver’s License

Job Type: Full Time, Hourly: $19-$21/hr
